The Division of Development Economics

The Division of Development Economics focuses on theoretical issues of development economics, growth theories and resources, international and domestic experiences of socio-economic development and transformation in the context of international economic integration. The division should also propose the directions and policies to promote economic development and poverty reduction, and to decrease inequality and development gap. The division is allowed to publish and exchange research results in accordance with the Institute’s regulations, and develop and submit to the Institute’s Scientific Advisory Panel (ISAP) its plans for research orientations as well as research proposals, and to combine research tasks with training and capacity building for the staff of the division. The division’s research interests include utilization of development resources including capital, human resources, sciences and technology; the impacts of international economic integration on the development process; economic development and poverty reduction; evaluation of development programs; and providing consultancy services.
